PROJECT 1 - Children Learning Capsule
In this assignment, students are required to understand of repurposed materials and their relationship to the crafting of spaces as setting for children experience. We are to design a play space by exploring the endless possibilities of using the shipping container to create symbiotic composition with other recyclable materials. For my group, we have chosen wood pallet as the material to design with the shipping container. We wanted to create a beach play space for the children. In this assignment, we get to explore all this different composition and materials which is useful for us to use it in the future assignment. Besides, I also get to develop the team dynamic with my groupmates so that we can complete this assignment in time and most important is communicate clearly with groupmates to make sure the idea of concept and discussion get to go smooth.
PROJECT 2 - Single Parents Community Support Center
Project 2a -
After the Children Learning Capsule, students are required to design the single parents community center that located at an urban park environment. Students are required to go for a site visit and understand the surrounding of the site, history and do site analysis before we start designing the community center. First, we are separated into two main groups with two different site, Site A and Site B, which are located at Taman Fair Park, Ipoh.
Project 2b -
After the site visit, we have to design the community center which are related to the site context, sustainable design strategies, users needs and programme which are involving the single parents families users and also poetic meaning. In this assignment, I really get to improve my time management and also my computer skills that required us using software to produce the boards and 3d model of the community center.
